Hi everyone, can I first say a quick THANK YOU to everyone who has been following/ tweeting/sharing all our recent releases and promotions across social media. Sales are up, engagements are up, and I’m super pumped (even during these terrible times).
And I’d also like to welcome all new followers. I hope you’re enjoying our content 🙂
On to this month’s news…
- PRE-ORDER is now available for Insignia Vol.8: Castles & Kimono.
This is a small collection, but I’m excited to share these amazing Japanese fantasy stories with you. Get swept away by the magic, mystery, and beauty of these tales with castle and palace settings.
Note: this book will be available at other book sites (Kobo, Apple, etc) on Aug 27th.
2. Join the HORROR MATSURI in October!
‘Matsuri’ means ‘festival’ in Japanese, but this will be a horror/dark fantasy festival across Asia! I’ll be posting a few selected stories here on the Insignia site during October, but there will also be a blog tour schedule, open to all writers to participate.
In a month where all indie publishers are releasing horror anthologies and featuring stories/poems online, the goal at Insignia is to share ONLY stories set in Asian countries, with lots of culture, mythology, and terrifying tales involved.
If you’d like to submit to our limited call and/or join the blog tour, check out the current details on the Horror Matsuri Page. This information will be updated late in August when I have a better idea of the number of participants. Hope to see you there!
3. Read Insignia 2020: Best Asian Speculative Fiction with KINDLE UNLIMITED!
This book was released on July 30th, and it’s great to see some copies sold, but I’d also like to spread the word to Kindle Unlimited readers. This is our only book in the KU program–if anyone can suggest places to add Insignia 2020 for more KU visibility, please let me know.
I’ve also been posting excerpts from some of the stories in this anthology, and stay tuned for a few more later this week. 🙂
Have you checked out our Free Stories page? This links to stories by our Insignia authors (plus a few friends) available free online at other indie sites. Some good work there.
