Allison Thai was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is frequently mistaken to look Filipino or Cambodian, has a Chinese surname, but is actually Vietnamese. (Confusing, yes, but she’s not doing this on purpose.) According to Vietnam’s creation myth, Vietnamese people are descended from a dragon lord and a fairy queen. It is logical, therefore, to conclude that she must be a dragon-fairy hybrid of some sort. So far she has short fiction featured in Anak Sastra.
